Outreach

At Comcast, we're playing an active role in raising community awareness about issues of Internet security that affect us all. Learn about our work and how we're partnering with others-such as McGruff, the Crime Dog-to expand knowledge of how the whole family can have fun and be safe and secure online.

McGruff

Comcast is an exclusive sponsor of the McGruff "Take a bite out of cyber-crime" Initiative (bytecrime.org). At Comcast, we take online security seriously and strive to provide our customers with the latest information and security solutions to ensure Internet safety. Through this partnership, Comcast is able to help combat the digital threats to millions of home, school, office and remote users of computers and other devices.

The Comcast and McGruff partnership allows Comcast to:

  • Educate customers on the many facets of online safety and the important steps they can take to increase their protection via the distribution of public service announcements and online security information.
  • Invest in the Community by participating in several local community programs aimed at educating the public about online safety, such as government and school meetings.

Project Online Safety

Comcast is a member of Project Online Safety (http://www.projectonlinesafety.com/index.html). Its goal is to effectively educate parents and children about the importance of online safety. Comcast is proud to join other corporations as well as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Ad Council, and the U.S. Department of Justice in this important initiative.
